Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."
In the book of Genesis, we see that God has given us dominion over everything that creepeth upon the earth. This would include demonic spirits. Now Ephesians 6:12 states, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
When you recognize your authority in the spirit, you see things for what they are and if it does not line up with the will of God for your life, you can cast it down in the name of Jesus under your feet, hence demonic spirits. The one thing the enemy hates the most is for you to recognize your authority and get deliverance. The spirit of confusion has got to go in the name of Jesus! (in my Dr. Cindy Trimm's voice-I lay out the legislate, pray over it and go to sleep! Done!)
To really grasp this concept, you need to first know what your disposition was and your new found position with Christ Jesus. When we fell from grace, we lost of position with the Father. Jesus came to restore us back to our rightful position with God. If Jesus is seated on the right side of God and everything is under his feet, then esp. if we are now IN Christ Jesus, this means everything is also under our feet. You HAVE dominion and authority. Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. God gives us permission to cast down and to build up. You have authority in the earth realm.
Once you see your position, ANYTHING and I state ANYTHING that tries to attack you, your family or even your neighbor and you recognize it as NOT the will of God for your life or theirs, you have authority to cast it down in the name of Jesus and place it under your feet and it is so. LEARN how to pray in the spirit. Learn how to fight the enemy, ON YOUR FACE! IN PRAYER!!!
God will show you vision through prayer and you can see the enemy for what He is, a LIAR! You will know why and how certain things are all out of control. You keep asking, why am I going through this but you won't pray, so God can show you and give you the authority to rebuke the enemy so He will flee.
My prayer is that you recognize your spiritual authority to better govern your life and the territory God has allowed you to minister to. Deuteronomy 32:30 How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?
Recognize your authority and learn to resist ANY attack of the enemy.
